Heavy drinkers
Like a good drop of wine or a cold frosty after a hard days work? Well it seems the people from Australia and New Zealand are particularly fond of an evening (or daytime) beverage to relax, with the two countries entering the terms “beer” and “wine” the most times on Google.
Australia heads the beer stakes, followed by Canada, United States and New Zealand, while wine searches feature most prominently in New Zealand, Australia, US and Ireland.
Wine would appear to be the drink of choice, especially around the Christmas period where Google receives a significant increase in searches.
A more general search for “alcohol” confirms once more that the men and women of the Southern Hemisphere are more than content to have a cup of booze in hand, comfortably taking out the top two positions.
