Dog, cat, fish or bird? Which would you prefer?

Google searches indicate that the canine is the animal of choice for households when it comes to choosing pets.

Next up, surprisingly, is the slippery fish, who squeezes past the furry feline for position number two.

The poor old bird appears to be the least favored family friend with only 50% of searches received compared to the fish.

But wait, there is still hope for the domestic winged creatures out there. The results are not that clear cut, as we are unable to determine whether the search for fish (or bird, cat and dog for that matter) was specifically for the purpose of a pet or if it was searched for in the terms of say, eating or sport. The bird is back!
